Send for Signature could not send error

Recently got a plan for Send for Signature, and it was working fine doing a few tests until yesterday.

Now, whenever I try to upload a file to create a send for signature document within Adobe Acrobat, I get an error saying "Could not Send. An error has occurred. Please try again."

When I try to access Send for Signature from the web based service, as soon as I click on send for signature, it refreshes the same page and nothing happens.

Yes its is all working now.  I did find this system of reporting frustrating and quite stressful. But it is a relief to be able to get things done again.

I found a work around. Hopefully Adobe will come along and solve the issue completely.

All you need to do is go www.adobe.com and sign in with your username and password.

On the left hand side under "Document Cloud Apps", click on "Adobe Sign"

Then click on "Get a document signed" on the left column of the page.

Now just follow the instructions for sending a document. It will ask for recipient, if you want CC anybody there is an option for that.

Then in the "message" section is your subject followed by whatever message you want to send with it.

Then just drag and drop the file you want to send from your finder window, or click "Add Files" on the right side.

That worked fine for me, but like I said I hope adobe can get an update out as soon as possible so you won't have to do this every time.

Happy 2017 everyone!

If you want the desktop app to work with Adobe Sign send an email and submit a support ticket. Helpdesk was able to change my email address by making me go through a long process. Bad user experience, nonetheless.

Hi,

I'm having the same error message when sending a signature. Please fix my email address below.

[Mod: This is a user-to-user forum. Adobe Staff do spend some time on here but I would suggest contacting support or asking on how to change email addresses. Please do not include email addresses on the forum to reduce spam and phishing.]

Hi,

Please help us with the following questions:-

1. What version of Acrobat/Reader you are using ?

2. Since when you are experiencing this issue ?

3. Have you changed your “email id “ in the past ? If yes, please share both old and new email ids.

4. What is the email id you are using?

5. Are you facing the same problem from Adobe sign web service as well ?

Regards,

Anurag

I am having a similar problem and am no longer able to use Adobe Sign to sign and send documents. I can't use it through Acrobat Reader or through the web (returns to the same page when I click any link on it).  I get this error:

If staff could assist that would be great. I need to send some docs for signatures ASAP.

We have PDFs on our recruiting website that require the candidate's signature. Our instruction to them is to use Adobe Reader's "Fill & Sign" tool.  When they use the "Send or Collect Signatures" feature to email the signed document to us, a pop-up appears requiring an AdobeID, which the candidate can easily sign up for. But then the following error appears, discontinuing the send process:

Why is this happening?  We can't assume our candidates have Acrobat DC (which according to this thread doesn't work either).  What is the fix for this?

Hello Glenn,

Send or Collect Signatures workflow is currently blocked from server side.

Kindly use Acrobat DC to send docs for signatures.

Unfortunately, we can't tell our candidates that they have to subscribe to Acrobat DC in order to fill out the required forms.

If the function no longer functions on Adobe Reader, then it should be immediately removed in from the current application.

Hi everyone,

I had the same issue.

Please use the following steps in order to fix the issue:

Go to Adobe Sign webpage and select to login use your credentials.

After you log in specially if you email has changed or is a new account it will prompt you to send a verification email.

Welcome to Adobe Sign - please confirm your email address - Activate your account.

Now your account should be working from this point on.

I hope this helps as it worked for me having the exact same issues.

Thank you!

Oh sorry. Got mine fixed. Had to call Adobe. My situation was that the logins for Adobe sign and Adobe dc weren't the same. Not sure if you can do this yourself or if you have to have support do it
