Adobe Express - Background Removal Not Working

Hi, 

 

Adobe Express' background removal doesn't deliver transparent pngs - and has yet to be fixed. Any news?

Thanks for your patience while we get this sorted. If you are in urgent need of removing a background from an image, a workaround is to go through the process in Adobe Express directly, rather than using the site that does it for you. Here are the steps in case it is helpful

Open Adobe Express in a web browser at https://express.adobe.com/

Select the option to Start from your content

Upload your image, select Remove Background and select a transparent background in the resulting dialogue

Since a few days the background (white and grey block pattern) seems to be baked in when using the Free Transparent PNG maker. 

Example attached.

Hi so I noticed that once you click to edit further and it takes you off the remove background screen, the png just neve loads so I can further edit the image. Screenshot 2025-12-11 140236.png

Welcome to the community! We're sorry to hear about the difficulties. Did you try using the other suggested browsers (Safari, Microsoft Edge, and Google Chrome) or incognito mode to see if it makes a difference?
