Libraries Colors not displaying

The color palettes from libraries aren't displaying anymore - most of the colors are showing up as undefined. Really difficult to navigate because it's not always possible to get to the eyedropper and sample from libraries in side nav when the text is selected. Side note - if Topic is a required field, please add something that is "Interface" or "Libraries" or even "Other" so that it's possible to make a selection that sends issues with Libraries (I've reported a few already) to the right bug troubleshooting team. I hate to send things to the wrong people and make it necessary for them to send it on to someone else because of a lack of menu choices on a required field.

Hi @Word Picture Ink

Could you please share a screenshot? If you could send me your adobe id (email that you log in with) in a private message, that would help too.

As for the list of topics, I will check on having it revised to be more relevant. Thanks for bringing this up.

Colors in libraries aren't updating properly (and haven't been for weeks - have sent other bug reports) and it makes colors completely non-functional. Attaching screenshots of what Express looks like and the actual library as those colors should show up from the panel within InDesign (using that as 'here's what it should look like' because it's the CC app I've got open at the moment)

Hi @Word Picture Ink

Are any of the non-functional colors specified using a non-RGB color mode (say CMYK)?

Thanks

When I try to use colors saved in certain (not all) CC libraries - only a few of the colors display. I've resynched the library from the CC app, it works fine in InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop - but hasn't been working with Express for 6 weeks. I've sent three other bug reports over that month and a half. It doesn't matter where I grab the color picker - top nav and side bar have same issue. It doesn't matter if it's a shape, text or background. Side note: NONE of the topics fit for issues with Libraries, CC integration or navigation issues - please edit the topic menu so that issues can get routed to the team that needs them - it's getting frustrating feeling like I'm just flinging things into the ether and crossing my fingers that someone will be able to help. Thanks for ANY assistance!

Hi

@Word Picture Ink

,

We're sorry to hear about this. Have you tried using the other suggested browsers (Safari, Microsoft Edge, and Google Chrome) to see if it makes a difference? Did you try in the incognito mode? Try clearing the browser's cache and cookies to check if that helps. If you've installed any pop- blocker, please try disabling it and check again.

Let us know how it goes.

Regards,

Tarun

Using Chrome (it’s up to date, have relaunched 20+ times and reinstalled twice, cache and cookies cleared multiple times). Safari has same results and it’s not my default browser for client work and makes for an awk workflow.

Running one app in Incognito mode because it’s buggy isn’t a proper solution.

No pop-up blockers installed.

Have also restarted my computer a few times since this started happening.

Rebuilt entire color library within Illustrator - checked in CC app, Illustrator, InDesign & Photoshop and it’s working (and synching) perfectly all those places. Screenshots are what it looks like both in a document and also in Your Stuff/Libraries within Express, and the library in Illustrator for comparison.

Thanks for your help.

Libraries don't synch. Consistently not loading - or only partially loading - or loading as 3x duplicates. For months now. I've reported it over and over. Trying to use Express with Clients and have more effective & efficient workflows. BUT if libraries don't work across CC it's all pretty pointless. And it just makes me look like a hack for recommending it instead of the experienced designer with 20 years of experience that I actually am. And there's still not really anything on the dropdown menu that's appropriate - so selecting all the things that are close.

I had responded to you here asking for your adobe id, but hadn't heard back (unless I missed it)

Could you please follow up so we can look into logs specific to your account.

Thanks

I have been following up. I have responded to your previous requests for my Adobe ID via email (but evidently they have not gotten to you) - it's  [EDITED BY MODERATORS TO REMOVE PERSONAL INFO] - I was trying to avoid putting it out in a public forum but this seems to be the only way to have information reach you.

Answer to your previous color question:
Non-functional colors were Pantone - which I fixed momentarily by rebuilding the entire library. But now the colors are displaying 3x for each swatch instead of one. One or two of the swatches are white or transparent, but hovering over them shows color information. If any of the three swatches for each color is deleted then that color swatch is deleted across all instances of that library.

Only having RGB colors in swatches is not a functional thing. I have clients that I design for across mediums and I have color swatches that are built as CMYK or color books like Pantone - and I need to be able to use those colors across the entire brand. I've been using them sucessfully across CC apps (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premier Pro) for years with very little problem aside from needing to relaunch CC desktop app occasionally to get them to synch properly.
