.MP4 Files in Creative Cloud Library "Not supported in Adobe Express" ????

Community Beginner ,
Dec 09, 2023 Dec 09, 2023

Good Morning

I have multiple .mp4 files in my creative cloud library, but when using the "Your Stuff" dialogue and drilling into my library, all the .mp4 files are "greyed out" and have a "This item is not supported in Adobe Express" tag when hovering over them.

I have seen multiple posts on .mp4 and compatibility, so I tried different ways of creating/converting, even with Adobe Express (conversion from a .mov to .mp4) and still have the same issue.

Now, the strange thing is the exact same file, uploaded from my PC, will import correctly ???? It just will not let me use it from the "My Stuff" dialogue and straight from my Creative Cloud. Which defeats the object of having this "easy" option in the first place.

You can see the file "IMG_0800" as "not supported" in the photo

The following Picture is the exact same file in the downloads folder.

The next image is the file dragged into Adobe Express, working 100% correctly 😒

Is anyone else having these issues? Can anyone assist, please?

Many thanks in advance.

HI @Motion by Dim Rusev,

Thanks for sharing the details. The issue with MP4 files being greyed out and showing “not supported” when accessed directly from Creative Cloud Libraries in Adobe Express is known. Adobe Express does not fully support importing videos directly from Creative Cloud Libraries, even if the same files work when uploaded from your device.

As a workaround, you’ll need to download the MP4 files locally and then upload them directly into Adobe Express for editing.

We understand this limits the seamless experience intended with CC Libraries and appreciate your patience. If there are updates or changes, we’ll share them.

Feel free to reach out if you need more help!

I am having the same issue through Libraries in creative cloud. When I try and add the mp4's directly into the library in Adobe Express as "assets"  it does not allow me to chose/select/import the mp4 files either...

Hi @justin_botes_5291,

Thanks for reaching out! Currently, Adobe Express doesn’t fully support importing videos directly from Creative Cloud Libraries, even if the same file works when uploaded from your device.

As a workaround, please download the MP4 to your device first, then upload it to Adobe Express.

We know this isn’t ideal and appreciate your patience. Let us know if you need help with anything else!

@mahmoud_5524  Thank you but unfortunatley this does not address my problem. As I mentioned in my original comment I have tried uploading the files into my library through Adobe Express itself. It does not allow me to add mp4's into the Library. They appear greyed out / and cannot be imported.  I can import mp4's directly into files or templates but I cannot import them into a Library even through Adobe Express. What I am trying to achieve is a library full of mp4's that can be used to replace the mp4's in my

Hi

@justin_botes_5291

,

Sorry for the delay, and thank you for reaching out to the Adobe Express Community! What you're experiencing is a known limitation at this time. MP4 files stored in Creative Cloud Libraries aren’t fully supported for direct use within the "Your Stuff" dialogue in Adobe Express.

We understand how this impacts your workflow, and we truly appreciate you bringing it to our attention. We encourage you to share this feedback on https://adobe.ly/4dIJyys  where our product team is actively monitoring suggestions and use cases like yours to help prioritise future improvements.

Regards,

Tarun
