Photos not showing in published webpage created using Adobe Express

I have been using the web version of Adobe Express to create a webpage for a travel blog. It worked fine with the old version: I could creat the webpage, publish it and send the link to my friends. Now I have to use the new version and it no longer works. After I publish it, the link I send out takes my friends to a webpage with only text and no photos.

I use a Macbook Pro with the M1 chip with 16GB of memory, running Ventura 13.4.1

Has anybody else had this problem, and if so what is the solution? Many thanks.

Hi @Roland23253747ysjc

Sorry to hear you are running into this issue. Could you please include a screenshot comparing what you designed in Adobe Express with what got published. Also, please share the url of your file (from the browser's address bar, when the file is open) and, if you are ok with it, the published link.

Thanks

Abhi G

Below are the screenshops you asked for.

I've noticed that further down the webpage, some of the photos are there, but not all of them. Sometimes one of the ones in the grid is missing and sometimes the whole lot is missing. I thought that the whole thing might be too big, so I cut it down to just the first section, but the problem persisted.

I've tried to post the urls here, but the site won't accept them because (it says) they are invalid. Please let me know how I can get these to you. I tried to email them to you but the email fails to deliver.

Thanks for looking at this, I hope you can sort it out.

No, worries @Roland23253747ysjc, I managed to grab the url from the screenshot you shared.

For an image that does not show up in the published page, could you try deleting it, re-uploading it, and then re-publishing the page? If that works, you can try that on the other missing images as well.

Thanks

I have spent hours and hours working on a webpage that acts as our internal newsletter that I share with hundreds of employees on a monthly basis. I have used Adode Express and Spark (always loved it and always worked seamlessly before it all sent to the Beta version...ugh!) before that for 3+ years, when publishing the 60-page document today, all photos are missing as well and all show up blank or black...only thing you can see is text. HELP! I don't have the time or brain power to reinsert hundreds and hundreds of photos into this document. How can Adobe rectify this problem quickly?

Now all the photos in the webpage I'm editing have disappeared - and am unable to "replace" photos on any of the pages.

Sorry, I've been off-line, but I've tried what you suggested (ie delete and replace) with a few photos. Sometimes it works but often it doesn't. In any case, this would take ages to replace all the missing ones, and because it seems a bit hit and miss I'd be worried that some at the moment that are there would disappear. Why is this happening (it worked fine with the previous version of Adobe Express)? Is there a solution for this or will I have to abandon Express and this work?

That’s a pain. I’m sorry I can’t help. I have abandoned Adobe Express as a lost cause. I hope you find a solution. Roland

Same problem.  So frustrating.  So many different angles.... browers, clearing cache, logging out, logging back in, deleting, reinserting photos, etc.

@Bittersweet Gardens

Are you seeing photos go missing only in the published webpage, or also in the project as you are editing?

Could you share the link (url from the browser's address bar)?

Thanks,

Abhi G

Hi all, questions for those whose images are not showing up in their published webpages:
1. Are you seeing the images while editing? (including the ones that aren't showing up on the published page) 2. Are you seeing the images in "Preview"? (including the ones that aren't showing up on the published page)

3. Are these images you're adding from Adobe Stock or uploading yourself?

4. Which sections are they happenign in? Photo grid / glideshow / photo section / cover?

5. Does anyone feel comfortable sharing their link with me?

Thank you!! Answers will help the team investigating find the root cause.

In the meantime, if you delete the image and reupload/readd, does it solve it?

1. Are you seeing the images while editing? (including the ones that aren't showing up on the published page)

Yes, I can see all images myself. It's my clients that cant see them.

2. Are you seeing the images in "Preview"? (including the ones that aren't showing up on the published page)

Preview just comes up with a blank screen (its the same for all my projects - ive been viewing them live in a seperate window, which is the same link my clients are checking)

3. Are these images you're adding from Adobe Stock or uploading yourself?

Uploaded myself. I have tired downsizing them, sometimes to only 100kb, and theyre still too small.

4. Which sections are they happenign in? Photo grid / glideshow / photo section / cover?

Both front and back covers, split layout, glideshow - not the photogrid.

5. Does anyone feel comfortable sharing their link with me?

I ran into this issue when creating training content for new-hire courses.  None of the photos that I published and embedded in the training platform were visible on the site.

After reviewing this thread and seeing multiple people with the same issue and no real guidance from Adobe, I took one last look at how I had it set up when publishing to the web and found my issue.

Make sure you change who can access to 'Anyone with link' instead of the default 'Only Invited People can Access' I had to go through my images, republish with the correct access, and grab the updated links, but my embedded photos are now visible and I know how to prevent this from happening in the future.

Not sure if this is the same issue everyone else was running into, but hopefully this helps someone!

Hmm I don't know if I understand right. I think what you are refering to is a different feature. We want to publish the website for everyone (also without account). Not like a project where everyone can make changes or comments who has an Adobe account.
