Clear clarification needed on commercial use of Adobe Express design assets

I am writing to inquire about the commercial use of Adobe Express design assets. I recently came across a tutorial video (https://youtu.be/-L-w-QJqWKA?si=Rjz9S2is_Q1BtRwq&t=371) on Printify's official channel that demonstrates how to create designs using Adobe Express assets for commercial purposes.

However, I have read the Adobe Express terms and conditions, which seem to prohibit commercial use. I believe there is a discrepancy between the tutorial and the terms of service.

I would greatly appreciate it if you could provide a clear explanation regarding the commercial use of Adobe Express design assets. Specifically, I would like to know if it is permissible to use these assets to create designs for products that will be sold on platforms like Printify.

As a general rule @kglad is correct; assets used in Adobe Express have a limited license for commercial use. https://stock.adobe.com/uk/license-terms#limitedLicenses

All the uses described in this post should be fine as far as copyright goes, but there are always exceptions. 

@siobhán_0690 what was the exact reason for the block? Does the website have rules that prohibit using music from anywhere, not just Adobe Stock? Any website could still block music for reasons of their own, and Adobe Express having commercially safe music won't change that. You could still follow the steps below to check the asset ID for the musci and provide it for proof. 

@LeslieABanks if YouTube are challenging your music find the asset ID in Adobe Express and send it to them for proof. You can find it by clicking the audio track and in the Audio panel clicking the 3 dots.

 

Now click Source info to get the details of the clip.

 

Here's one thing that throw a spanner in the works; contributors sometimes remove their work from Adobe Stock and that means it won't be licensed for use any longer. 

Adobe Express is supposed to show us red (images) or grey (audio) icons if an asset is no longer available. But it's not always obvious; I've not seen one yet! Often the only way to know is if you get a download failed message.

If you use the method above to find the Source info of an asset, you can use that Asset ID# at the https://stock.adobe.com/ site to see if the asset is still available.

and it has come up as free. It is still listed on the stocks . I ll check all my muscic from now on. Thanks for the tip. I think other people have had similiar isssues

Hi! I was wondering if there is a concrete answer as to whether or not I can legally use an Adobe character that I made using Adobe's "Animate from Audio" feature - the one where you simply upload an audio file and let the software animate the character and match its movement to the audio. I want to create an educational YouTube video with one of these characters in order to make it a little bit more interesting, but I am unsure if I could even monetize that video if I used one of these characters. I looked everywhere for that piece of information, but have been unable to find it, and I couldn't find a contact to the Adobe customer support. If anyone knows the answer, then please provide it. Not if those designs contain any Adobe Stock assets.   See below for details.  Anything you sell commercially must be your own original work to which you have 100% copyright ownership.

Hi there!

I have been using Adobe for quite sometime now, and had a general question in regards to using graphics I have made in Creative Cloud Express to put into client videos for YouTube and other soical media platforms.

From my research and going through community posts everything seems to be free of use, BUT am I able to insert graphics I have made in Adobe CC Express into a video for my clients without an speical licenses?

I made a simple graphic using some of the icons/shapes using Adobe CCExp and wanted to make sure that I did not need a speical license for it.

Any solid answer would be awesome! Thank you!

I did not pull anything from Adobe Stock, I only pulled from CC Express and
used the shapes tool.

Do I need any licenses for those? I ended up talking to someone on the live
chat function and they said it was good to go.

I need some help understanding Adobe Express templates and commercial use. I have created a final product that includes two templates from Adobe Express. One template was for a text logo and included fonts and colors. The other template was for a worksheet layout.

I want to sell this product commercially on platforms like Teachers Pay Teachers. Can anyone clarify if it's okay to use Adobe Express templates in commercial products? Additionally, I have a Creative Cloud All Apps plan, if that makes any difference.

There it says this:

With a Standard license, you may not:

• Distribute the stand-alone file.
• Create merchandise, templates, or other products for resale or distribution where the primary value of the product is associated with the asset itself. For example, you can't use the asset to create a poster, t-shirt, or coffee mug that someone would buy specifically because of the asset printed on it.
• Transfer the license to more than one employer or client, unless separately licensed for each.

Lets say im planning to use a stock graphic next to a text on a t-shirt. I cant really tell if somebody would buy it just from the text or because of the stock graphic. Is this still fine?
