Favourites are stored in the browser cache. So, if you are save them on computer "A" in browser "B", you will only be able to see them on computer "A" in browser "B".  If you go to computer "C" and use any browser they will not be there. If you use a different browser on computer "A", you will not see them.  So, please make sure you are using the same browser on the same computer.

If you are using the same browser on the same computer and you do not see them, it is likely they are lost. They can be deleted for a number of reasons including if you clear the cache, run a utility that cleans up space on your computer (including deleting the cache), or you run out of disk space (causing the browser to delete cache to recover space). I said "likely" because if you back up the area of your disk where the cache is stored, you can potentially recover. For example, on my Mac I do back up the ~/Library directory structure, and just this week had to restore the cache for Microsoft Edge because something was lost. But, most people do not do that.  The reference document above goes into more detail.
