Media Encoder CC 2015 Not rendering Lumetri effects

Mac OS 10.10.3

Mac Pro 2013 2.7Ghz 12 core

64GB 1866 MHz DDR3 ECC

AMD FirePro D700 6144 MB

Ive tried the following with Red Raw, Pro Res and  .mp4 footage.  If I add a Lumetri Color effect to a clip or adjustment layer and queue the timeline to Media encoder, no color effects show up on the final compressed file. The only way to get the color effect to show up is to bypass media compressor entirely and export directly from Premiere which stops me from working in Premiere. This is one of many issues I have had with this VERY buggy release. Anybody else experiencing this issue?

    here's the workaround:

In Media Encoder Preferences > General > Premiere Pro > Uncheck "Import sequences natively"

So after 5 hrs "on the web", I might have a solution which is not really a solution but a fact. Have any of you tried uploading your videos on youtube or watching when on other pc's?

In my case, it's the graphics card (I have Intel 530) and when uploading to youtube the video has all the color corrections/adjustments it had in Premiere. Don't really know what to do tho.

I just updated, now to Premiere 2017 and I still lose my LUT with Media Encoder.  It works just fine exporting out of Premiere.  This is a major oversight on Adobe's part.

So the fix for this in CC 2017 is to also copy across the Lumetric>LUTs>Technical folder from Premiere to Media Encoder. As well as the Looks folder mentioned on page 1 of this thread.

This worked for me at least anyway. Running Windows 10 and Adobe CC 2017.

    Hope that helps people out.

If you copied custom luts to Premiere->Contents->Lumetri->LUTs you have to do the same for Media encoder... it works!

For what it's worth... I finally found this thread after pulling my hair out when none of the LUTs applied were visible on export no matter the format.  Turns out the simple fix was to copy/paste same LUTs into Media Encoder/After Effects folders.  I should've known better... after all I used some LUT from DELUTS and the create specifically instructed to have those copied across all apps you send your files to.

Anyway, worked for me.  I'm working on the late 2013 MB Pro with latest Adobe CC as of today.

Yeah, that's not working for some of us.  I'm on 2015.3 now, and nothing has changed.  I'm getting different looks than what I see in the program window.  To be honest, I'm not sure what I'm seeing.  The exports don't seem to be be "dry", they've got something applied, but it's not what I'm seeing within Premiere by any means.  I've tried using the Effects added on the export, I've tried export from Premiere, Export from AME, moving things around in the myriad of folders Adobe sprays all over, and I'm getting different results all over the place but never what I have inside PP.  Not sure what to try or where I'm even at.

It appears this bug has returned with the 2015.3 update.

However, turning off "Import sequences natively" in Preferences, as advised above, is a workaround.

Hi Gary, could you list the specific steps that cause the bug for you?  I'm trying to find a reproducible case for engineering but so far I'm unable to get this to happen on my side.

The Lumetri plugin was applied to an adjustment layer in a project that predated the 2015.3 update.

I'm not sure if replacing the adjustment layer after the update would have helped, but switching "import sequences natively" worked, so I went with that solution.

I guess the only way you could reproduce my situation would be to find a project that predates the latest update, with an adjustment layer that has the Lumetri plugin applied.

I found this to work for me probably not the issue for everyone:

The fix I found was to use the NVIDIA control panel to control your video playback instead of the video player’s settings.

    1. Open your NVIDIA Control Panel (type NVIDIA in your start menu search field and select NVIDIA Control Panel).
    2. Go down to Video and select “Adjust video color settings.”
    3. Under #2 (How do you make color adjustments), select “With the NVIDIA settings.”
    4. Under the Advanced tab change the Dynamic Range with the drop down to “Full (0-255)” (not “Limited (16-235)”).
    5. For my display to look as it should, I had to uncheck “Dynamic contrast enhancement.”

My video now appears as it should (not washed out).

I had the same issue that is described here. I made sure my LUTs all matched, didn't work. Then I saw the NVIDIA suggestion. It turns out I had to update the driver (Mac OSX) and I ran a test export - Perfect!

Make sure you keep drivers up to date!

How in the hell did you update your Nvidia video drivers for OS X? Apple takes care of those things.

    Still not fixed.

The Luts applied in Premiere are not rendered in Media Encoder... Come on Adobe

Alex, make sure you have the latest updates of AME (9.2.0.26) and Premiere (9.2.0.41)

    Some other things to check:

    • In AME go to Preferences > General and check if "Import sequences natively" is enabled
    • What is your Renderer set to in AME (menu at the bottom of Queue panel)?  OpenCL, CUDA, or Software Only?
    • What specific Look/LUT you using?
    • Are you applying the Lumetri effect to specific clips in your Premiere sequence or are you enabling the Lumetri Effect in Export Settings?

"Turn off "Import sequences natively" in Preferences in AME" worked for me!  thanks

This worked. You just saved me hours of troubleshooting. Thanks so much!

Ran into a similar issue, and I'm thinking my solution may help some of you guys and gals. I had created some custom looks with SpeedGrade because I was sick of browsing to my 3rd party LUTs. Unfortunately, the look would appear in Premiere but wouldn't render. Dropping the file into AME was the fix, and I'm thinking that if your LUTs aren't working, maybe you can do what I did:

    1) Use Speed Grade to create and export a new look from your custom or 3rd party LUT

    2) Copy the .look from the exported zip file to the following folders:

         input LUTs:

Premiere > Show Package Contents > Contents > Lumetri > LUTs > Technical

AME > Show Package Contents > Contents > Lumetri > LUTs > Technical

         output LUTs (looks):

Premiere > Show Package Contents > Contents > Lumetri > Looks > Cine Looks

AME > Show Package Contents > Contents > Lumetri > Looks > Cine Looks

I literally just finished a test render and this is what worked for me. Note that the same folders exist within After Effects, so I'm guessing you can add these there as well. Yep it's a huge pain, but it's definitely worked.

Dear Adobe : Please, Please, use 1 set of folders, outside the app packages, that is browsed by app on startup to load Looks and LUTs. This is a serious workflow issue which should never occur with a near 20 year old professional application.

I found the same, and I'm bloody glad I did. Am due to deliver a DCP file tomorrow at 11am for an investor screening. I exported the DCP files, and then dumped out a .mov as a backup, only to find it was bleached in places and missing much of the adjustment layered grading done in Premiere using Lumetri and LUTs.

I made sure both the /looks/ and the /LUTS/ folders were matching, and checking across the adobe suite I'd suggest you make sure you copy everything missing to the AME and AE folders, and the AE subfolders also had the looks and LUTS missing.

ATM I seem to have managed x2 successful exports after this change, but am having to run multiple checks against a pile of possible variables against this being the ONLY problem causing the missing grades/issues. Which means I'm in for a long night. I expect Adobe to pay my invoice for wasting my time using the Adobe Suite as an all-in-one solution that is clearly not up to the task.

I could've been sat in a screening room tomorrow with egg all over my face looking at a bleached and corroded picture in front of heavyweight investors who would be asking why they'd wasted £100k on a delivered project that looks like it's been doused in Domestos.

Davinci Resolve is looking more and more like a much better solution end to end.

I tried reading and all the possible solutions but none are working.

My Premiere only has 2folders-in Lumetri Looks (Cine Looks and Filmstock).

In premiere I applied >SL Noir HDR (Universal)< and it exports with errors.

I copied lumetri folder from Premiere and pasted it in MediaEncoder but still having issues exporting clips that have Lumetri applied to them.

I even reinstalled the latest version of Premiere and Media encoder from AdobeCC.

What do I do? How do I successfully export with Lumetri looks applied???

    Please help,

    Thanks!

The update has not worked for me.

I'm on Macbook Pro 2.6GHz i7, Nvidia GT 650M, OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 and have just updated CC was hoping that this would have been resolved.

I've found that rendering out from Premiere only renders out the vignette but no grades, neither Lumetri nor the Three-Way Corrector.  When trying to Queue through AME, AME stops responding and needs to be Force Quit.

I have to find a new grading solution quick since Premiere isn't working, any suggestions?

Also for me the update didn't make any difference.. Sometimes it does work, but most of the time it doesn't. Already reinstalled Media Encoder. What other solutions are there?
