Question

Adobe Scan doesn't have option to take original colour pictures by default.

I use Adobe Scan quite often and it takes way longer than it should beacuse I have to change colour of all pictures to "original" from "auto", it takes time in processing. I prefer original colour over the auto since I take a lot of pictures of notes and auto colour many times is too bright to read all of the text easily.

There should be an option to take pictures in original colour by default, just make an option to take pictures in whatever coloured desired as default.

If such option already exists please let me know.

Thanks!

Four years later and this still is a PITA -- it makes warm photos look like crappy newsprint photo until you manually switch it back to original color.

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.

I have tried to reproduce the issue at my end and its working fine and Adobe Scan app is creating scans in the original color of the document by default.

Would you mind sharing the version of the Adobe Scan app and the OS you are using? Tap on the profile icon > About Adobe Scan. Also try updating the app to the latest version available on the App/Play Store and reboot the device once and check.

For self-help and future reference please check the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/mobile-apps/help/adobe-scan-faq.html

Let us know how it goes.

Hi @Saad20114 ,

Hope you are doing well.

Thank you for posting your query here. You all can use the "Apply to all pages" slide button.

  1. Open a Scan.
  2. Tap on more ...
  3. Tap on Modify.
  4. Tap on color, choose the color mode or keep it original.
  5. Slide the button to "Apply to all pages"

For reference: https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/adobescan/android/en/scan.html#adjust-the-color

Let us know how it works at your end. If you have any further queries please feel free to reach out to us.

Regards

Ria

Hi, @Ria Tagra!

I do know about that option but thing is that's post processing and takes quite a lot of extra time when it has to change colour of 20-60 pages.

It'd be great if you could give us option to select a default preset of what colour we want. Say I select "original colour" preset for default option from preferences, then I don't need colour post processing at all.

Thanks!
