Adobe scan "Waiting for OCR..."

Hello,

 

I am trying to use the adobe scan app on my ipad pro for its OCR feature but for some reason, when I upload a pdf for the app to recognize the text, an error frequently occurs...

 

When I upload a pdf, there is this cloud shape with an arrow pointing upwards (supposed to show there is some uploading going on I guess?) and right by its side the words read 'OCR...'. Sometimes it works perfectly fine, but sometimes the cloud shape gets crossed out(?) and the words next to it change to 'Waiting for OCR...".

 

I am aware of the OCR limit on the free plan, but I am currently using a paid plan.

 

Is this a known issue? I tried to wait it out but I am pretty certain that this whole process is not supposed to take this long (the pdf is only 20 pages...). 

 

Any ideas on why this is happening or any solutions?

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for your experience with Adobe Scan.

 

Do you experience this with every document or with a specific file? 

Also, we had maintenance services going on during the period which could trigger the issue.

 

Would you mind letting us know if the issue still persists? If yes, please share a screen recording for better understanding and assistance.
