Hi, I have a Canon wi-fi printer/scanner (scans to phone/iPad but won't the convert pdf to OCR) but I want to use it in conjunction with Adobe Scan.  Is there anyway of doing that?

if that is not possible, can it be put on the wish list, please.

Hi Ianhgsy,

Sorry for the delay in response.

Currently, that option is not available.

However, you can fill the feature request form for that over here https://adobe.allegiancetech.com/cgi-bin/qwebcorporate.dll?XTGK8H

Hope that helps.

Regards,

Meenakshi

I'd really like this feature too, on Android with my Epson AIO wireless multifunction printer. I submitted this request to the same link as in the other answer https://adobe.allegiancetech.com/cgi-bin/qwebcorporate.dll?XTGK8H

Brief title for your desired feature: Support External Flatbed Scanner

How would you like the feature to work?

Just as Adobe Acrobat on desktop supports creating PDFs from a dedicated flatbed scanner or multifunction printer scanner connected via Wi-Fi, allow the Android apps to use the same.

Why is this feature important to you?

A computer is often inconvenient or inaccessible making the desktop app infeasible. The Adobe Scan app supports the critical features OCR and skew/crop correction, but is forced to use the phone camera. A camera is convenient in a pinch, but reduces quality of scan appearance and increases filesize due to uncontrolled lighting and backgrounds (floor, table, bed, etc.).

@Micah Lindstrom Hello,

Thank you for reporting your feedback. I have shared the feedback with the product team from my end as well.

They will look into it and try to implement it in the upcoming updates.

Thanks,

Souvik.
