Bulk Download Issue with Adobe Scan

Explorer ,
Dec 24, 2023 Dec 24, 2023

I'm encountering a problem with Adobe Scan (latest version as of December 24, 2023).

When I request a download link through the app, it doesn't follow my instructions. Additionally, using Creative Cloud on macOS Sonoma 14.1.2, I am limited to downloading scans one at a time.

The option to download scans disappears when selecting more than one file, which is a significant inconvenience, considering the substantial monthly subscription fee I pay. I would appreciate if some fellow user could please provide a solution for bulk downloading scans. It's impractical to download multiple files individually.

Thanks beforehand, and merry Xmas.

You should use Acrobat on a PC. You can select and download from inside Acrobat (here Acrobat DC Pro).

On behalf of the hundreds of thousands of Adobe users with a Mac, I would like to thank you for this tip. I think I am speaking for most if not all of them when I say that we're going to buy a Windows PC right now just to be able to do bulk-download on Acrobat Pro.

Hi @rodrigoe55625431,

As suggested above, Acrobat Pro DC can bulk-download scans.

The other option would be to log in to https://acrobat.adobe.com/link/documents/ and select the Adobe Scan folder, clicking the download button to the right-hand panel popping up (screenshot attached).

Hope this helps.

You know what, you should implement bulk download on our Mac's Acrobat Pro instead, we're paying a lot of money for your products to be useful instead of a headache.

@rodrigoe55625431,

As suggested above, the bulk download option is also available in the Acrobat Pro app.

The solution I shared was just a workaround if you experience issues downloading through the Acrobat app.

Hi Souvik,

I've been banging my head against this one as well.  Acrobat Pro does not offer the option to download multiple files in either the desktop or the web apps.  In the web app though, it makes you think you could download the entire Adobe Scan folder, offering the download button when you select it, alas it will time out and say the folder must have moved.  I would really like to pull down more than one file at a time as well.

This was an excellent suggestion.  I had used multiple downloads from a PC in mid 2022.  Recently, I tried to do the same thing, but download was not an option if I had two or more files selected.  After reading Souvik's comment, I tried the acrobat.adobe.com suggestion. It took me a few tries to spot that the link I read, "https://acrobat.adobe.com/link/documents/", differed from the link behind it, "https://assets.adobe.com/cloud-documents/", which did not allow multiple file downloads.  I copied the acrobat.adobe.com link text and pasted it as a URL, and... I recognized the page I had used in 2022!  Thank you!  I will keep a bookmark to that page for future use.  It seems odd to have a link like that...

I said PC but not Windows PC. That should work also on your macOS system. Except if Apple prohibits such a functionality.

Hi @ALEXANDER5C25,

One observation I think would be useful here is, that I unchecked any shared scan files on my account, and was able to download the scans directly from the Acrobat App.

I selected All, then unchecked the ones I shared with others, and the files downloaded successfully.

[screenshot attached for reference]

Let me know if this helps.
