When the flash is set to always on, it turns off too quickly to be useful on the iPhone 14 Pro. This issue does not occur when using the flash in auto mode.

Hi @29713676,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for your experience with Adobe Scan.

Have you checked for the behaviour with the native camera app? Does the flash behave the same when manually focusing on a point in the camera?

If yes, this could be an issue with Apple rather than Adobe Scan. If not, please reply, and I will take this forward with the team for further investigation.

Also, a few more pieces of information would be great:

1. The app version of Adobe Scan;

2. The iOS version you are on.

Look forward to hearing from you.

I have checked the behavior with the native camera app, and the flash works fine when manually focusing on a point in the camera.

The app version of Adobe Scan is 23.04.20, and I am currently using iOS 16.3.1.

While scanning through adobe scan, it automatically throws flash at the photo (even in bright daylight) which makes it very difficult to even read. Any fix on how to turn it off?

Hi @Rajvi Doshi,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for your experience with Adobe Scan.

Have you tried disabling the flash? The option to do so is precise on the right side of the capture button.

You can reference the below screenshot:

Also, you can learn more about the modes here: Scan — Adobe Scan for Android

Hope this helps.

Hi @Антон27427403wl68,

Are you able to use the flash on other camera application? This could be more of an issue with Apple that Adobe's .

  • Thanks for your reply. But I have already tried all the three points you mentioned here.

1. clicking a picture from my phone camera shows completely fine. and when I import those pictures in Adobe scan it also works fine. but the problem arise when I try to capture picture from Adobe scan app (and not import pictures from files)

2. it is happening in all the documents. I have tried multiple documents with various light positions and even without light (turning on my flashlight)

3. and my app is up to date. I didn't find any updated version in the Play Store.

Hello, By using adobe scan for scanning documents previously there was no issue and document was perfect. But recently the document that is taken with flash on is coming with purple to bluish texture and the camera is working fine as the images are good with default camera app. Documents scanned with flash off are also coming perfect. How to resolve this issue??How to avoid that texture?

The sample images scanned from adobe scan app are attached..

In the past Adobe Scan had a very good way of capturing documents. Including keeping the flash on while taking the foto, causing the document to not have discolouration. Now the flash is on for only a split second making the document "blue" "purple" and "dark patches". Thank you for understanding. Please set an option to keep the flash on while scanning documents.

Hello,

I am french, excuse my poor english language.

Since today I cannot use my HP printer-scanner, because Adobe flash player is no more available. A guy said me : "I also have Windows 10 and cannot load the flash player but I have found a workaround by scanning through Adobe Acrobat (the full version, not Acrobat Reader!). Open Acrobat .... File > Create > PDF from Scanner , then choose the required option" I doesn't run in Acrobat Reader DC on my computer, I haven't the choice "PDF from scanner". Does exist a version of Adobe Scan for PC ? Thanks. Kind regards. Gaston

When capturing photos the flash is working but ot is oof no use. May be the timing is not correct , slightly delay maybe.
