Question

Need an option to disable Auto-Crop for all pages at once

I (and every other person I have spoken to about this) really need an option to turn off auto-crop for all pages at once. When you create a PDF from pre-saved images in your photo gallery, it auto-colors and auto-crops all the pages. You can turn off the auto-coloring by selecting the color icon on any page, clicking "original color" and clicking the button that says "apply to all pages." But when you turn off auto-crop (by clicking the crop icon on any page and then clicking "no crop"), there is no button that allows you to "apply to all pages." This means you have to turn off cropping for every single page one at a time. Please, please, please add this button so that we can turn off auto-crop on all pages at once rather than having to go page by page.

It's quite simple. Initially when we press the images option, there's options of add from photos, show only documents and autocrop. Just disable the autocrop option. Then select your photos as usual

Do adobe still suck? I've got something similar with the text frames - I make them bigger in case I need to type additional text, and the idiot algorythm automatically makes it as wide as the text is. That's supreme morony U.I. level

Hi there

Hope you are doing well.

Have you tried disabling the smart capture button on the capture screen? This turns off the auto-crop and allows you to crop the captures manually, as suggested in the earlier response.

If it still doesn't work, please share a small video recording of the steps you are taking and the issue occurring for better understanding.

Also, share the version of the app and the OS you are using. To check the version of the app, tap on the profile icon> About Adobe scan

This is still a consistent problem even after 4 years of bringing it to the attention. Adobe is not able to fix a glitch in 4 years. Disappointed

Hi @Avnish31871148qik6,

Thank you for writing in!

Let me share the feedback with the team for review and implementation.

Meanwhile, as a workaround, you can use the option to enable manual adjustment of boarders by going to Home-> Profile-> Preferences-> Enable the switch to toggle "Let me adjust borders after each scan."

Unfortunately, this tool doesn't seem to work. After enabling "Let me adjust borders after each scan", the app continues to auto-crop.

Agreed. This problem is so time consuming when you need to process many pages in a document.

If this issue isn't fixed I am definitely going to use a competitor's app. This is ridiculous. I'm currently going to try Microsoft Lens

I totally agree with you. I use it for submitting my school tests and once it cropped one of my answers and I lost 3 marks. My percentage should have been above 95 but it dropped to 92

Greetings,

Thank you for addressing this. It is still an issue. Additionally it would be helpful to have a desktop version of Adobe scan to utilize the modify tool. In a fast pace atmosphere Adobe Scan is so helpful , the inability to quickly rectify choices made by the app causes quite a pain point in the workflow. Additionally, acknowldeging to the community that autocrop is the default and that there are ways to change this--as it is not intuitive that it can be changed without reshooting.

This need still isn't met. I have 140 pages scanned by a professional scanning company, but they were delivered as an individual jpeg for each page. Having to hit "no crop" on every page is insane.

I also vote for this feature. Must be able to turn off auto-crop in settings. It is awful and does not work. The ability to turn it off would be very helpful.

It's been more than a year and half and this feature has not yet been added. Clearly they don't listen to us.

Hi Shivang,

Adobe Scan does have the option to turn the Auto-capture and Auto-crop off. To avail this feature, make sure you have the latest update installed. You can download it from App and Play Stores.

Open Adobe Scan>right next to Click button at left hand side there's an option to disable Auto-Capture.

Open Adobe Scan> click on Home icon> Menu icon>Preferences>When Auto capturing , let me adjust borders after each scan "enable"

Thanks,

Akanchha

Agreed. Please add this feature. I would like to be able to uncrop all of the pictures/pages in a PDF at once, rather than doing it for each page individually. Or just give us the ability to turn off auto-cropping in the settings. Either way would work fine.
