Question

image compression in digital signature documents

I use a digital signature from another company and I will be switching.

My reports contain large JPEG images from the electron microscope. Each image is over 5 MB. I sign the report (with the images) with a digital signature and send it to the client. But the file is compressed far too much and the images have lost all the details. A file of 20 MB gets compressed to less than 2 MB. I cannot control the amount of compression with my current digital signature provider.

If I switch to Adobe Sign, does it provide anyway to control the compression of my digitally signed report?

Alternatly if I buy Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Sign, can I control the compressiion of my digitally signed report?

So Adobe Acrobat compresses my e-signature when I sign and I have spent a while morning trying to resolve in every way possible, no success. No advice online, no support or help and no resolution to this frustrating issue.

    Hi angela32854333y4xg,

Thank you for reaching out, and sorry about the delay in response.

Please let us know if this happens when you sign a particular document or with all. Do you experience this behavior on the document sent to you for signature, or are you signing on your won documents? Are you using the image as a signature?

More information would be helpful on how the signature is compressed.

In the meantime, please refer to the information in the following help document for creating a digital signature: https://adobe.ly/3ETDtSA.

    Thanks,

    Meenakshi
