Hello I have problems with my adobe xd files I get an error when trying to open them I get the error 86 and I don't know how I can fix them since the new files that I am making are also being damaged with the same error. Thank you.

Most of the bugs related to data loss were fixed in XD 33.0. If you are on a previous version, update to the latest version of XD to avoid recurrence of this issue.

If you have error code 86 when opening an Adobe XD file.
If you are on a Mac equipped with an Apple Silicon chip.
1- Uninstall Creative Cloud Desktop and reinstall it by selecting macOS | Other download methods.

2- Open Creative Cloud Desktop > File, then drag and drop the file. The file will re-synchronize and from the cloud click on the blue "open" button.

Hello! I had the same problem and the solution was as follows:
1) Open the Adobe Cloud app
2) Go to the "Files" tab.
3) Drop the corrupted file into the "Files" folder in Adobe Cloud. The application will show a message to convert the file to Adobe XD format.
4) Wait for loading. Once that's done, rename the file and open it in Adobe XD.
These procedures worked for me and it recovered the file

hi, i'm having this same issue. a file i work in all the time is suddenly returning an error:86. it happened after google drive reindexed my files for some reason and tossed 6 files in the "lost and found" folder in library>application support. so i have the missing file but cannot open it. this is months of work. i'm running vsn 57.1.12.2 on mac os sonoma 14.0. please help!

should have mentioned: i've tried duplicating the file, rebooting, reinstalling, creating a new user account on my computer and opening it there, uploading it to cc cloud files... nothing works

Has anyone managed to get a solution for this from Adobe?? I've contacted Adobe via the chat and did everything they asked for, yet I still do not receive an update or solution for this

Hi I have the same problem and my due date is monday so bvasically in 5 days. I have tried to open it on different devices witth different adobe acoounts, installing the program new etc. Everything else works fine and all oter documents open, just not ths one that I despertly need. Please please help me

If yes, please add the document to a shared location like Google Drive or DropBox and share the link through DM by clicking on my name. Hi marie I have tried every possible solution but nothing worked at last I have done it with indirect method
Convert ur file online to figma file open it in figmq online and then copy and paste ur artboards from figma to new xd file thats the only method
