ae keeps crashing whenever i open a project file

i have two main problems, which i literally have no idea how to fix. each time i open ae, i have to press alt+shift+ctrl while opening it, otherwise the program will crash. my second problem is when i open any project file, the project file just crashes. it doesnt even load or anything, just gives me the unexpected error popup and closes me out of the program. ive searched this problem up and tried many things and it still can't get fixed.
