Changing frame rate of comps causes crash - (AE25.5(build 4) Windows24H2 Threadripper Pro 7965WX

I have a comp.

if I change the frame rate After Effects Crashes

(it has a set of expression to creat a grid from shape layers)

25 year AE veteran - daily professional use. It is a bug!

Crash also happens if using RD Compsetter to change comp frame rate

 

Latest Windows 24h2: 26100.6899

Latest After Effects 25.5 (build 4)

Nvidia 5080 latest Studio drivers

Threadriper Pro 7965

256 GB 5600RAM

Crucial T700 OS/CACHE/STORAGE (one for each)

Not at all heavy. But I did start getting GPY memory full warnings. Does the GPU process expressions? 100 items, position set by sliders, but parented to a null moving at time*10.

Hopefully there is work going into optimising the javascript processing as it seems slow compared to other software

Actually if I wait long enough the frame rate changes.

It only happens on the expresions comp

I see! Sometimes expressions can get heavy. Is it happening with a specific expression?
