Footage file outpoint fails to update on reload or replace with longer image sequence

AE23.4

If an image sequence is used in multiple locations across the project, when updating the source either by reloading footage or replacing footage, if the new source has more frames, the outpoint of the footage layers does not update according to the outpoint of the new footage

If the footage is only used in one location the footage outpoint will always update according to the new source footage

Hi @JakeCook_Compost,

Just attempted to repro this using TIFF sequences and I am not reproducing this behavior. I'm seeing the Layer duration (for the existing layers created by the imported sequence) updating for the new sequence duration, regardless of whether the source footage is used in one or multiple comps.

The footage duration does not extend to the new duration however (in either single or multi-comp scenario). Its out point is still set to the original duration. Opening the footage panel for the sequence item and setting the outpoint to the new end of the sequence will update that duration for all layers where the footage is used.
