Hi, community!

It's summer, and we're in full swing. I hope you're drinking a lot of water to keep up with rising temperatures. Research implies that people eat more fruits during summer, which boosts the immune system and, because of their low-calorie content, helps with weight loss.

Let's rewind and look at the top troubleshooting discussions and tutorials from May posted in the community. In addition to that, I want to feature one of our community members who was added to the ACP program last year — Graham Quince, a.k.a ShiveringCactus.

Community Highlight

I want to give a special shout-out to Graham because of his dedication to the community. His willingness to help fellow users is remarkable. Within a few months, he became one of the most prolific contributors of 2021 and continues to be one of our most-active ACPs this year. He has contributed more than 500 posts and an impressive 125 likes. Let's know more about him.

Graham is a training consultant in the UK with 20 years of experience in online software. After Effects has long been a hobby for Graham, who first discovered the software after pushing Adobe Premiere to its limits in 1999. He has used After Effects for theatre productions, training & education videos, and numerous internet films.

In 2019, Graham published a series of tutorials recreating each planet in the solar system, each using a different technique. Since then, he has continued to release all sorts of tutorials on his YouTube Channel and does take occasional professional commissions. He is an advocate against plugins, as he feels they can put unfair financial pressure on amateurs - as he says, "After Effects is capable of achieving almost any look required - it just might take a bit longer."

In case you're wondering, the name ShiveringCactus comes from a particularly unsettling urban legend.
