Hi, I am trying to render through Adobe Media Encoder. I have composition in After Effects, then I switch it to Media Encoder to export, but I keep getting this error.

--

Export Error

Error compiling movie.

Render Error

Render returned error.

Writing with exporter: H.264

Writing to file: \\?\C:\Users\Josh\Desktop\Test.mp4

Writing file type: H264

Around timecode: 00:00:00:08

Rendering at offset: 0.000 seconds

Component: H.264 of type Exporter

Selector: 9

Error code: -1609629695

---

I don't know what this means, but it is really annoying me and I need it fixed! I have cleared media cache, disabled gpu acceleration, switched encoding files, but it still won't fix it! PLEASE HELP!!

Correct answer Szalam

Try rendering via AE's render queue into a production codec (DNxHD, Cineform, etc.). See if that works. If so, you can then take the resulting file into AME to make your MP4.

I just noticed the error datei is a nice memory hog that adobe fills up to the end of time with completely unrelated information. This is the active error message:

------------------------------------------------------------
- Codierungsdauer:00:00:03
11/04/2021 12:40:09 PM : Codierung fehlgeschlagen
------------------------------------------------------------
Fehler beim Export
Fehler beim Kompilieren des Films.

Fehler beim Export

Fehler beim Abschließen des Renderns.

Schreiben mit Exporter: H.264
Schreiben in Datei: \\?\C:\Users\jmueller\Desktop\Karinas_video\export\video1_1.mp4
Dateityp wird geschrieben: H264
Um Timecode: 00:00:00:04 - 00:00:00:12
Komponente: H.264 vom Typ Exporter
Selektor: 9
Fehlercode: 3

------------------------------------------------------------

how about you delete error messages that are older than one months??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Ok, the original expression was this: http://image.prntscr.com/image/bb765bedfc924da8922db9cd1090ad21.png. Having it to Output 1 worked, but Output 2 didn't, I just removed the effects, because it didn't change much in my video. Although, I'm still getting the same error, if I remove this effects and export to media encoder it works fine, but not with the effect. And I do need this effects for it to look nice. This is what's messing it up now, http://prntscr.com/fje7n6 if I un-tick the time-vary stopwatch it's fine, but I need that for it to work.

That works, although it's kinda time consuming.

Some sort of expression is making it fail. I don't know how to keep the expression without removing it, but that is the problem.

Are you doing an H.264 in a QuickTime container or as an MP4?

If it's in a QuickTime container and you have a bunch of cores on your machine, that's the problem. If that's it, try making an MP4 instead. If that's already what you're doing, try rendering an intermediate file (Cineform or DNxHD or QuickTime with the Photo-JPEG codec) out of AE's render queue. Then take that resulting file into AME to make your MP4. See if that works.
