AE 2022 UI delay, lag, slow

Hi-

Been experienceing UI lagging in the latest AE 2022 (22.2.1). When I click on a layer or add text, or click on an effect in the effects window there is a half second delay. I have never exprienced this type of UI delay before. It's incredibly frustertating. When it was abundantly clear was when I was rotoscoping inside Mocha AE within AE. Move thing besier tool was arduous and glitchy. It was as if Mocha AE was having trouble keeping up with my adjustments.

Anyway, I went into setting and under memory/performance and UNCHECKED enable multi-frame rendering. So far, the UI has been responding normally and Mocha AE is smooth as it always has been.

FYI: everything is updated on my system that I am aware and I have a very fast graphics cpu and GFX card with SSDs to boot (see below).

If anyone else has had UI lags let me know. This may be a multi-frame rendering issue.
