Hello!

I'm trying to export this video: https://imgur.com/a/MHXrBzx

First time using Cinema 4D, and I rendered via Encoder, but the grid was showing, so I tried MAXON, to which I get this error.

Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks!

My guess is that you enabled the Cinema 4D Renderer inside of After Effects, which is not the same thing as rendering a Cinema 4D file. AE has a new, native renderer built on Cinema 4D, which can do things like extrude shape layers.

Switch your renderer back to Classic 3D, then click on the c4d file in your timeline and open the Effects Controls panel. In the Cineware effect, change the quality from "Software" to "Standard (Final)."

You must make you layer as 3D layer to be able to export your project to be a C4D project,

Anyway i don't think this can fix your issue, since you will get a C4d file and not a video file, so to fix the grid issue you can check this link to learn more about the solution Cinema 4d grid lines showing in After Effects
