After Effects 2025 hanging on last frames of render output **ISSUE RESOLVED USER ERROR**

After Affects becomes hardlocked on the last few frames of render

 

1. load AE 2025

2. Add comp to render que

3. Start Render

4. Observe the progress bar get to 97% and then freeze, necessitating the app be force quit

 

I'm on a PC running windows 11, with 64 gigs of memory and RTX 2070, 1 terabyte HD

    Is your F drive a local or networked drive? If it's hanging, it is because AE doesn't believe the frames have been written to the output file. I would try rendering to a different drive to see if that helps.

    thanks for the response! I actually just hadn't restarted the PC since the update. Once I did that everything started working fine
