Hi all, I have been experiencing an issue with Adobe After Effects for around 1-2 months now regarding DynamicLink. This appeared ever since updating to either 22.2 or 22.3. Upon startup of the application, I am greeted with an error that has rendered me unable to use After Effects entirely.

The Error:

This has left me stumped for quite a while. I have tried utilising the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool as well as manually removing all the Adobe files from my system in an attempt to do a fresh install. To no success or change.

Any help or information on this error would be appreciated.

Hi Kai,

Welcome to the community and sorry for the crash.

Does it show any crash report or generate any crash log? Try removing third-party plug-ins. Go to HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plugins/7.0/MediaCore and remove all the files and folders temporarily (except dummy.txt).

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Nishu

Hi Nishu,

Thank you for the quick response. Removing my plugins solved the issue.

I had installed a plugin for Blackmagic Raw files to be supported and editable through both Premiere Pro & After Effects.

Never thought about updating the plugin, so that's very well what caused the issue to arise.

I will try installing a newer version of the plugin, and let you know if the issue comes back.

I have also attached the crash report below in case you're interested.

Many Thanks,

Kai

Glad to hear that.

Thanks for updating the thread. Also, please let us know if updating the plug-ins fixes the issue.

Thanks,

Nishu
