This version doesn't read Cryptomatte layers correctly for me, does anyone else get broken cryptomattes?

I am having the same issue. I am using After Effects 25.5. I am rendering in 3ds max and arnold. I can render the Cryptomatte AOV from 3ds max and see that it rendered the layers. However, when I apply the Cryptomatte effect in After Effects it gives the error "No Cryotmatte layers found." The message board does not accept EXR files.

Did you ever happen to find a solution to this? I'm coming across the exact same problem.

My 3ds max arnold renders show the cryptomattes but inside AE 25.5 and 25.4 I get the "no cryptomatte layers found."

I've used the exact same workflow for years and it's stopped working as of yesterday morning.

The layers do not show up the right way and look broken. It might be a problem in the update. Maybe others are facing this too. I hope the next version will fix it so the layers can work in the normal way again.

I'm rendering with Cinema 4D and redshift. do you get different colors in your cryptomatte compared to other after effects versions?

I can't attach screenshots, because of NDA, but basically the cryptomattes are not read correctly. they show only some parts of the scene and sometimes disappear in the middle. in earlier versions it was showing correcly

I'm not having any problems reading .exr files from Cinema4D + Octane when using Cryptomate.

Where are your renders coming from? @nishu_kush, could it be due to a conflict in the file format being read with the new version of After Effects?

Thank you for your reply, I will try to send screenshots, but basically, cryptomattes are not showing all the parts, have missing colors, and sometimes objects just disapear mid sequence. The same project with the same cryptomattes opens up correctly in 25.3
