Question

After Effects error. File exists but couldn't be open for reading ( 3 ;; 0 ).

Can't update my illustrator files anymore ? If I save a new version in illustrator , when I go back to AE it give me an error ....After Effects error. File exists but couldn't be open for reading ( 3 ;; 0 ).
Illustrator 2024 and AE 2024

Actually,  any image in my project when I open an AE file give me an error of missing file , and the files are right there ,  jpeg , mov etc...

    I tried open and closed ...nothing works... I uninstalled both and reinstalled  nothing., trashed the PREF nothing . safe mode nothing... error always  ?

      Is Illustrator still open when switching back to AE? Just wondering if somehow it has the file locked.

          Are you running on Sonoma/MacOS 14? There seems to be something up with permissions to files for some users with the new OS.
