after effects preview not working

recently i got a problem where whevener i import videos downloaded from nyaa.si it shows as a blue screen but it has audio but when i import videos from youtube they work fine

Start by checking your hardware acceleration options and update your system's graphics driver. Other than that the files could simply be DRM-protected and not editable.

Perhaps with the MediaInfo application you could give us more details about the format, the codec container, etc. Without detailed information we cannot tell you much.
