Hello,

an oval mask in After Effects is not converted, remains rectangular. Only when I pull the mask extension to minus does the oval shape slowly appear.
This has only been the case since the last update. Before, you double-clicked on the oval mask symbol at the top of the bar and the mask was immediately displayed as an oval. The line-shaped mask outline now appears, but the video remains rectangular.

As Jose says, it's mainly an effects issue, try to turn off all effects and check if you still get the same problem, if so you need to pre-comp your layer before applying the mask
