Compositions NOT copying and pasting from one project to another

Is anyone else having issues with copying and pasting compositions from one project to another? When I try this, I get a "Original Source Deleted". The items copied and pasted from one project to another were a text item and another composition that only had boxes and an animation. I'm sure I've done this before.

 

Any thoughts?

I don't believe this is a thing. 

If you want to bring compositions between projects, I'd suggest the following:
In the project with the desired comp(s):
- Select the composition(s) in your Project panel.
- File > Dependencies > Reduce Project
- File > Save As, and save your new project with the desired name.

Open the project you wanted to import into, and import this other .aep you just created.

If you want to bring compositions between projects, I'd suggest the following:
In the project with the desired comp(s):
- Select the composition(s) in your Project panel.
- File > Dependencies > Reduce Project
- File > Save As, and save your new project with the desired name.

Open the project you wanted to import into, and import this other .aep you just created.

OK, so import is the only way to bring compositions and everything within the composition? I must be losing it. I thought I had been able to copy and paste. Sure wish that were a feature. I feel like such a noob.
