Content-Aware Fill not working

Steps to reproduce:
    I'm following all of the steps to use Content-Aware Fill and it is not working. I am trying to remove Bob and only show the background. The only thing that happens is the tool creates a lighter Bob on top. I know the screenshot shows it is still rendering, but the results are the same as in the screenshot.
