Convert 2d to 3d and rotate from front to back

Hello,

I have an image that I need to convert from 2d to 3d then rotate from front to back.

The image was created in Photoshop and has a design on the front. The main

question I have is how to add the 2d image in AE CC 2018 and quickly rotate

it from front to back with the back being a solid color?

For example, imagine a piece of jewelry (watch) where the front has a design and the back being solid black.

I want to flip/rotate the watch from front to back in AE? I currently have 2 images (front and back of watch) as PNG files

that were created in Photoshop. I can use either PS/AE CC 18 to create the 3D file. So far I tried to do this in AE, but was

stumped on how to add the solid color back to the front?

Hope I didn't repeat myself too much, but wanted to make sure I was clear.

    Make both layers 3D. Parent the front layer to the back layer. Offset either child layer, the back layer,1 pixel in Z space and rotate it 180º. Now rotate the front layer and both will work as one layer.

    This is really basic 3D manipulation in AE.

    There is also an expression that turns off visibility when a layer is facing away from the camera. Let me know if you want to see that expression.
