My windows version is windows 7, when I download latest After Effects version , then I got a same problem on my computer. Now, I installed a old After Effects Version on my windows 7 system, the problem was fixed.

nVidia just released the first new driver update since this problem started, so I tried reinstalling 15.1.2. It still crashes in exactly the same way. Rolling back to 15.0.

Try updating your After Effects, just now there is a new version.

I have exactly the same problem. I tried the previous suggestion, and it didn't work. I've tried different versions of nVidia's graphics drivers, but the only thing that worked was installing version 15.0 of After Effects. No version after that runs without giving me the same errors you mention here.

For reference I'm running a GTX1080, and AMD Ryzen 2700X.

Try this when you clic in app icon to open it, immediately press Ctrl + Shft + Cmd (in Mac) or Ctrl + Shft + Cmd (in Windows) to delete default preferences, then clic OK.

If this do not have the best results you have to uninstall and then reinstall the Ae application.

    Regards!
