Frame-blending artifacts with pixel motion on uncompressed source

Two related issues to report/discuss.

1) I have an image sequence of images (stop motion) taken with my camera which I'm unable to pre-compose then use pixel motion frameblending to add easing to the linear sequence of images.

As a workaround, I have saved the file to an uncompressed Quicktime movie and re-imported it.

2) When I enable time-remap with pixel motion frame blending, I get some very strange artifacts.

I'm unable to attach the uncompressed source file as it exceeds the maximum filesize.

Shouldn't I be able to time-remap an image sequence if it is pre-composed?  Couldn't there be some additional switches for frame-blending and pixel motion that would prevent these artifacts?

I'm using AE 23.2.0 (build 34) on Mac Monterrey 12.6

Instead of using native frame blending use the Timewarp effect. It has more options to control the behavior such as raising the motion sensitivity threshold to avoid artifacts.
