I have RTX 4080 graphic card. We want to use adobe After Effects but it doesn't work with that graphic card. We can not choose GPU in the After Effects panel. Actually, it's written that it verifies the Graphic card but even fans don't work. And I am not pleased with the performance. Windows, Adobe, and GeForce Experience, all up to date.

turn off the GPU usage in options. not only does the program not use GPU for most everything, there are a number of cases where GPU support can reduce rendering speed, or outright cause crashes and failures. it's a hack that's on by default.
yeah, most people aren't pleased with performance. it was 22% faster in 2012.

Whether or not AE will even use GPU functions will depend entirely on the contents of the project and without any specific info we can't really tell you much about that. The rest has already been explained. You have wrong expectations.

Adobe After Effects (AE) does not rely on the GPU for its core functionality. It only uses the GPU to accelerate previews and a few other things. Therefore, using a high-end GPU may not result in a significant improvement in AE's performance. However, using third-party plugins such as Elements 3D or Red Giant may allow you to take advantage of your GPU's power. Additionally, a better CPU, like an Intel i9, can also help improve AE's performance.
