How can I re-establish a broken dynamic link between an AE project and Prem project?

Months ago I started a project in Premiere and sent the video to AE via dynamic link. I then lost interest in it for a while. Since coming back to it, the link between the Premiere project and the AE project has broken, so that any work I do in the AE project does not update in the Premiere timeline any more.

There have been several new versions of both Prem and AE in that time, and I'm on the latest versions of both. Is there anything I can do to re-establish the dynamic link between the AE project and the Prem project?

It opens an older version of the AE project. I've managed to fix it by setting the dynamic link offline and then relinking it to the current version of the project. I don't know if that's the right way to do it, but it works 🙂

What happens if you start in Premier and double-click the dynamic link or right-click and try to open the dynamic link? That should work better than trying to start with the After Effects project.
