Hi forum.

Im exporting a PNG sequence using blend modes, but when I add the file in Premiere the PNG sequence is exportted without the blend modes which I have chosen for some of my layers in AE.

Thank you.

Correct answer Rick Gerard

You will have to change the blend mode in Premiere Pro. Blend modes only affect the layers below the layer with the blend mode. If you don't have any pixels under the layer there is nothing to blend with.

You'll need to share your workflow and export settings.  nobody can tell you much with the information you've provided.  https://community.adobe.com/t5/after-effects/faq-what-information-should-i-provide-when-asking-a-question-on-this-forum/td-p/3928960?page=1

Here;s some more information.

I have a layer with the SABER effect , and I have used the divide blend mode, which blends with the background. But I need to export the animation with a transparent background, so the PNG sequence only contains the logo SABER animation. If I export it with normal blender mode,  there's no problem, but when I choose any of the Blend modes, and import it into Premiere, it disregards the blend mode and treats it like a normal blend.
