How to Fix: Current time indicator disappearing after moving audio clip

New Here ,
May 19, 2024 May 19, 2024

After I move a audio clip around the Current Time Indicator/red bar disappears. Exiting, saving and re-entering the project seems to fix it. Can anyone help me out with steps to fix.

I am on a M1 Macbook

Hi @Surya374790265j6s ,

Are you able to post a screen shot or screen recording?

The Current Time Indicator is blue while the Preview Time Indicator is red.

Also, which version of macOS are you running with which version of After Effects?

Hi, sorry for the confusion. The preview time indicator is the one that is disappering.

My MacOS version: 14.3.1 (23D60)

AE Version: 24.4.0 (build 47)

Thanks for sharing the screen recording. Do you mind sharing your system specs as well?

Try running After Effects in Safe Mode

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Nishu

If I am following what is happening in the recording correctly, it looks like you are zoomed into the Timeline with the Current Time Indicator outside of the zoom range.
