Hello,

I used a text preset and would like to use the same preset for another project.  How can I tell which one I used?

Thank you!

Holly

Hi Holly,

Welcome to the forum. There's nothing in the After Effects UI that would help find the same preset. Sorry about that. Here's a workaround that might help you recreate or understand the text preset you used:

If you want to recreate the same effect, select the text layer and press the U key twice to reveal all modified properties. Then, select the Effects and Transform properties of the layer and save an animation preset. This will allow you to apply the same effect to other projects.

If you're trying to figure out what modifications were made to create the animation, pressing the U key twice will show you all the properties that have been modified in the layer. This can help you understand the changes that were applied to achieve the desired effect.

Additionally, you can use Adobe Bridge to browse text animation presets from After Effects. This way, you can match up the preview with your animation and identify the preset you used. You can also preview text animation presets on this handy webpage: https://adobe.ly/3Dw3Z4m.

I hope this helps! Let me know if there's anything else I can assist with.

Best regards,
Kevin
