how to make a square into a rectangle by stretching in after effects?

Hi, go to the Scale properties and click on the constraining symbol (a chain). You can then change the X or Y separately.

i had to move the anchor point all the way the right of the shape, then with the selection tool drag the left of the shape to the size i want, while having the constraining symbol off, thx
