How to make this text animation ?

Hey,

I want to make a text animation similar to the one on the gif. The text begins with a false text to finish with the one typed.

Is it possible on After Effects ?

There is a preset in the Effects and Presets folder that you can edit to suit

Thanks, in older editions it's called " Decoder Fade In"

In addition to the text animation that Todd mentions, it looks like the lext layers have a linear wipe effect applied.
