How to see which effect was applied on a text layer ?

I went back to an "old" project to gather some ideas for another one and there's a really nice text preset that was applied that I'm unable to remember the name of ; I've tried lots of presets to find it again since I found it kind of randomly in the first place and not one was the one I want. The name of the effect is also not in the Effects Panel, there's only 3 different selectors 2 of which are "Fast Box Blur" and "Solid Composite".

Does anyone know to which preset it might relate ?

If you have a text layer that behaves the way you want it to from an old preset all you have to do is select any Effects added and any other modified properties and save a new animation preset. It will take you about 20 seconds.

So great news, while I followed your instructions I noticed a menu in the Animation drop-down that I didn't notice before that shows all recent presets used, so I did find the preset I was looking for (it was "Évaporation", don't know what it might be called in english) but it would probably have solved my issue if not for my stroke of luck so I'll mark this solved ! Thanks again

Long and short: no. Once a preset is applied it dissolves into standard properties and there is no way to determine what it was based on unless you keep track of it yourself by renaming the layer/ an effect, add a marker or expression comment or plain and simple jot down some notes on paper.
