Is it possible to make multiple lights affect only 1 layer in After Effects

Question

Hi, I hope you're all doing well!

Currently, I'm working on this composite where I want to add casino chips to the footage.

Not sure if this is an issue or not, maybe there is another way how this could be or should be done?

I'm adding some lights to the chips to somewhat match the lights of the actual video, this is not a final comp but I realized that when I add lights to let's say the red chips it affects all chips in the scene, I tried lowering the radius and falloff distance but nothing works. The 3D chip models are added through Element 3D.

I found a solution but only for one light by making it an adjustment layer, but I still didn't find any solution for multiple lights. I have attached 2 screenshots, if there is some more information needed I'll provide it.

Any advice is appreciated, thank you in advance!

Long and short: No. If you want that level of control with per object light inclusion/ exclusion you have to use a 3D program. Neither AE nor E3D offer controls for this. Mylenium

I don't see much difference in the screenshots, and you have not shown what happens when you turn off a light.

If you are trying to match the shadows in the shot, one directional light or one point or spotlight will do that. If you are trying to change the color of a stack of virtual chips, then it's color grading and not lights that should be used.
