Just stopping by to see if others are experiencing the same thing and if there's any workarounda at the moment.
I'm using two screens as separate spaces inmacOS. I have the comp/timline in one separate window. Right clicking or opening any dropdown windows is not possible now. The dialog box won't show up. If I drag it to the same screen as the rest of AE it'll work.
What do? I need two screens for work and this is really hogging down my work speed.

This is really, really annoying. It takes forever to find the top screen menu options for some of the right-click stuff. PLEASE, PLEASE put this at the top of the priority sequence, even if it's just a "service pack" type of fix. Ugh, this is what I was trying to avoid by waiting for awhile after High Sierra rolled out. I should have checked a little closer on the bugs.

The After Effects update that came out last night (might take up to 24 hours to propagate to Adobe's servers around the world) fixes this issue. (And several others - it also adds some new functionality.)

Szalam--were you able to successfully install the update? I keep getting this error:

That looks like there is a permissions issue with your library folder. Do you have High Sierra or something else?

Set the permissions for the Library (and be sure to tick the option to affect the containing folders as well) to be correct and see if installation works better after that.

Mac: Library will not let me set permissions for some reason. There are three names listed there, and the only one with read/write is "system". It won't let me add permissions, even though I am an admin. Weird.
I was able to add myself to permissions on the Applications/Adobe apps, but that didn't seem to do anything. Does High Sierra do something weird with permissions? I've never seen this happen before.
I'm hoping that someone at Adobe can help me through this, as the memory leaks are killing my productivity in AE and Premiere. Thanks for your time and ideas!

If you go to Adobe.com/support, pick the Creative Cloud option, then pick After Effects, you should eventually get to a spot to contact Adobe support (as long as it's within certain hours for your country). You can either call or chat. That's probably your best bet.
Either that or uninstall everything Adobe, run the Adobe CC Cleaner tool, and then reinstall.
