Masks not moving with Precomp

Hi, 

When I move a precomp, the masks that are in that precomp don't move with it. 

 

I created a scenes with some masks (using set matte). This scene I added as a precomp to an other composition. Now when I move this precomp (using position) the masks stay in the same place. 

What could be causing this problem?

 

My mask settings:

I use After Effects 2022

If you want to stick with Set Matte, you will have to pre-compose again so Set Matte can look at the new nested comp and utilize comp space. There are no provisions in Set Matte to utilize layer space. The only thing you can do is stretch a layer to fill the comp space.

    It's most likely your issue is related to the way Set Matte works. It operates in Comp space, so it doesn't necessarily understand that you've moved your layer. You'll either need to apply the Position change within your precomp, or you can use the Transform effect to do the same move, in a way that Set Matte will see.
