Hi Russell,

Thanks for reaching out. Could you share more details on both the issue so that we can troubleshoot properly?

  • What happens when you try to open the projects? Do you see any error messages?
  • What do you mean by top tool bar? It is the Tool bar that you're referring to? Please share a screenshot.
  • What are your system specifications (CPU, GPU, RAM, OS)?

We're here to help, just need more info.

Thanks,

Nishu

Hi Nishu , thank you for your response.

Please find attached screenshots.

When attempting to open a recent file, I get the spinning beachball and a clear box , which results in the only way out is to force quit.

When clicking on the options in the tool bar , shapes , text, pen tool etc,  the click has no functionality so I must hold opt/alt to move through them when choosing.

Similar issue when changing the resolution , click has no function so it's stuck on "third" . .

Thanks for sharing the details Russell.

Did you use any third-party plugin in the project? If so, please check if all the plug-ins are working fine in this version. To find out if the plug-ns that's causing the issue, you can remove the plug-ins from After Effects and try to open the project.

For the other issue, in the original post you mentioned that the right-click is not working. Are you trying to Right-click the tool to reveal the tools inside it? If so, try to click (left click) and hold for a second.

Let us know if it helps.

Thanks,

Nishu
