Preview is in slow motion

Hello! I'm using AE 2020, and after a few seconds everytime I try to playback my work the audio and video go in slow motion. Hardware acceleration is disabled, I have no idea how to stop it. Any solutions? Thank you!

Depends on what your expectations of AE are.

AE is not really designed for playing like a NLE (Premiere Pro). It has to render and store every preview frame in RAM in order to play it, so this can take time to render, and will be limited by the available RAM in your system. Typically when it plays slow it is in the process of rendering.

Make sure your preview is set to loop playback in the Preview window.

Define a short work area to preview - ideally 5-10 seconds at most.

When you preview, expect a slow preview first as it renders, then it should loop normal playback once it is rendered.
