UI issues with AE 2022 upwards - Bounding Box and Orbiting Camera

Hello I'de like to report two issues I have with the new UIs since AE 2022.

1. THe overcomplicated bounding box that is too big, has too many things going on and is disrupting my work flow as an animator that works with a lot of detail and 2.5D objects.

Refer image attached.

AE issues 1 - bounding box.jpg

2. The Camera Orbit is unpredictable and moves away from POI.

Refer attached images

This is why I prefer to use the 2019 version.

Would LOVE to have at least the option to switch between "classic"  and new controls so that I can work on the latest versions of AE, now that 2019 is no longer issued.

I have been working on this software for 15+ years, and I hate to have to deal with these kind of issues at this stage.

Thank You!

My point of view is same and using old versions. Though latest version is good but not for me. So, try whichever is best for you.

Hi @RandyChriz,

Thanks for reporting these issues. Per the guidelines, please only make one request per thread—this helps to keep conversations focused and allows the team to better gauge the response for each request. To that end, I've moved the current conversation to Discussions for clarity. In the case of the two issues you've mentioned, one might be a feature request (the bounding box/gizmo issue) and the other might be a bug (the orbit issue).

You are able to switch the layer controls back to the classic style by using Cmd+Shift+1 (Mac) or Ctrl+Shift+1 (Windows). Please let us know if this isn't working for you.

Hi @RandyChriz,

No, it is not currently available as an explicit preference. However, if you set "3D Wireframe Gizmo" as the shortcut for the V hotkey, the gizmo should default to the classic style.
