Question

Unable to access and install previous versions of After Effects

Hi. First of all, I used to have working After Effects (version 24.x.x and 23.x.x) on the computer on which I now have trouble installing it.

After formatting and resetting my PC, when I try to get After Effects installed, I'm met with a message that says that my processor doesn't support AVX2. And that’s fine, because I don’t need to use the most recent version (25.0). I used to have After Effects version 23 and then 24 before and it was working fine. But now I cannot access previous versions and cannot install the 25th version of After Effects

Simply put it. Is there a way for me to access previous versions of After Effects, without installing the newest version first? Or is there a way for me to move the older version of After Effects from a different PC? (I have After Effects 25.0 on a different PC and access to previous versions there).

(note: I would like to avoid just upgrading my processor just so it supports AVX2 and allows my Creative Cloud to download the newest version of After Effects).

(Screenshot of Creative Cloud on PC with no AVX2 support, unable to access previous versions without installing the newest one first.. )

Thank you for any help provided ❤️

you can install the latest and 1 version prior versions using the cc desktop app. you must have a subscription because previous versions are not available with trials. other versions are revealed after clicking file preferences>apps>tick show older apps (at panel bottom).

I found the "other versions" tickbox in preferences....selected that...relaunched CS, but no older version of the app I need.
I've been a subscriber for 9 years, and you're telling me I can't access the last version of Audition that works with my system?

if your os is older, yes it may not be compatible with the two versions available.
