Hi Guys,

Newbie question -

When i'm Picking the unified camera tool (as well as - orbit tool, track xy, track z) and trying to spin a 3d layer around (the layer is marked as 3d),

nothing happens just the windows tone telling i'm doing something wrong...

What am i missing here?

Thanks.

Without any better info we can't tell you much, but start by checking that you actually use a proper camera layer and the comp viewer is set to "Active Camera".

    Sorry for that.

i haven't  placed a camera layer  in my comp..

Its just 2 layers, one is JPG and the other is illustrator

Both are marked as 3d layers.

I'm just trying to rotate the view  around so i'll be accurate with their positions.

You just answered your own question—there's no camera in the comp. You need to add one in order to use the Unified Camera tool. The default camera that allows you to see a comp in Ae doesn't respond to this tool. If it did, that would end up being so problematic.
